    In-Home Optometrist Visits

A mobile optometrist who comes to your home — for older Australians, people with limited mobility, and anyone who finds clinic visits difficult.

    Overview

Eye See You Optometry brings a fully-equipped mobile optometry service directly to your home. We were originally built around aged care facilities, but the same in-home model works for anyone who finds it difficult to reach a high-street clinic — whether due to mobility, anxiety, transport, or simply preferring to be examined in a familiar environment.

Our optometrist arrives with portable diagnostic equipment, conducts a comprehensive eye examination at your kitchen table or living room, and dispenses spectacles on-site if required. Appointments are Medicare bulk billed for eligible patients (every five years for adults under 65, every three years for those 65 and over, or sooner with a clinical reason).

All examinations are conducted by AHPRA-registered optometrists. Reports can be sent to your GP, ophthalmologist, or family member with your consent.

    Why an In-Home Eye Test

For many Australians, the standard clinic eye test is harder than it needs to be. Driving to an unfamiliar centre, finding parking, navigating waiting rooms, and trying to concentrate on a chart in a busy retail setting — all of it becomes a barrier, especially for older adults, people with cognitive changes, or anyone managing chronic illness.

An in-home eye test removes every one of those barriers. The room is familiar. There is no waiting. The optometrist works to your pace. Family members can be present. And the same comprehensive clinical assessment — refraction, retinal imaging, glaucoma screening, ocular health check — is delivered in your own surroundings.

What We Do at Each Visit

    Comprehensive Eye Examination

Full refraction, ocular health assessment, glaucoma screening, and retinal evaluation using portable clinical-grade equipment.

    Glasses Selection at Home

We bring a curated frame range, take measurements at your kitchen table, and deliver finished spectacles to your door.

    Diabetic Eye Screening

Annual retinal photography and dilated examination for patients with diabetes — no separate appointment needed.

    GP & Specialist Reporting

Written reports sent directly to your GP, ophthalmologist, or family with your consent.

    Medicare Bulk Billing

Examinations are Medicare bulk billed for eligible patients — there is no out-of-pocket cost for the eye test itself.

    Familiar-Environment Pacing

We work to your pace, not a 20-minute clinic schedule. Examinations stop and resume as you need.
